Sanditon

It was a real pleasure  to score Sanditon season 2 & 3 alongside co-composers Ruth Barrett (who wrote the music for the first series) and Jon Wygens. As I’ve written in my post about Emma. (2020), I’m a massive Jane Austen fan and, although she only managed to write eleven chapters of Sanditon before she died, it was enough for Andrew Davies to adapt and expand into the original 8 part ITV / PBS series in 2019. Initially no second series was planned but then a big audience-led campaign pushed for a continuation of the series, which eventually got off the ground. So Series 2 has just been broadcast in 2022  (on ITV in the UK and PBS Masterpiece  in the US) and Series 3 will come out at some point in 2023. I don’t know at the moment if there are plans for a soundtrack release for the new series, but I’ll let you know if that does come about!
