Spiderman of Paris (Netflix)
I’m pleased to say that the latest film I scored for the brilliant director Jamie Roberts (Rise of the Murdoch Dynasty, Four Hours at the Capitol, Escape from Kabul) has been released on Netflix.
The Spiderman of Paris is a feature doc about Vjeran Tomic, who pulled off one of the greatest art heists in history. Told in his own – very frank – words (Tomic was recently released from prison), Jamie has created a gripping account that takes in the dark underbelly of crime in the most beautiful city in the world, Paris. As ever it was a pleasure to work with Jamie, alongside editor Will Grayburn, and Amos Productions. I’ll write a bit more about this project in due course, but in the meantime, do give it a watch it if you get a chance!
UPDATE: Delighted to hear the news in March 2024 that this film has been nominated for a BAFTA for best documentary film, the first time Netflix has been nominated in this category. Fingers crossed for the award in a few weeks.
