Trust No One
PROJECT INFO
I recently had the pleasure of working with director Luke Sewell on a great film that has just dropped on Netflix. Trust No One is a wild and unpredictable romp through the murky world of crypto currency. The story twists and turns like a slippery eel, taking in eccentric (sometimes objectionable) characters as it tries to track down the whereabouts of a multi-million dollar stash of Bitcoin after the disappearance of Crypto investor Gerry Cotten.
I had previously worked with Luke on the ‘Hoop Schemes’ episode of Bad Sport (also for Netflix). For Trust No One, we talked early on in the process about the story and tried to establish what the tone of the soundtrack would be. It was a murky world and we knew the score wanted a certain level of darkness and grit, but it was also a wild ride, full of excitement and excess. The music had to be propulsive and driving, and sometimes downright fun. But then had to turn on it’s heel and take you down more sinister paths. It’s a stylish doc, expertly filmed by Tim Cragg.
